The company understands that the protection of the environment, the safety and health of its employees, customers and community in general, are essential values for their sustainability and are aware of their responsibility to manage the impact of their activities, products and services on the society in which they are part.
Risks and impacts associated with the activities of the group undertakings are identified and periodically assessed; operational control measures shall be defined and monitored and the measurement and monitoring necessary to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of environmental, safety and health at work shall be carried out.
Environmental protection is ensured through the use of the best available technologies for the effective use of natural resources, including the minimisation of waste-material raw materials and energy, in minimising pollution through proper waste management, in the capture and treatment of gaseous emissions, in the treatment of waste water and in the encapsulation of noisy equipment.
The protection of employees is ensured through training, information and work instructions, constant implementation of measures for the elimination or minimization of risks, collective protection systems and personal protection equipment. The companies have procedures for operation in case of emergency, with teams of fire fighting, evacuation and rescue.
